Batman over the Rooftops of Lucca

Batman rises from above like a presence watching over the city. His face lies in shadow beneath the mask, the cape opens across his shoulders, and the bat symbol is burned deep into his chest. All around, the wood is scattered with dark scorch marks, like a rain of ash in the night. Below lies Lucca: the tree-lined Walls and the towers and bell towers of the historic centre, among them the Guinigi Tower with its holm oaks and the Clock Tower. Dense, etching-like hatching gives body to the shadows, while the word “Lucca” in flowing script signs the foot of the panel. Unofficial fan art, an original handmade work.
